Welcome to the XMLTester DEMO
This demonstration allows you to browse and execute about 180 test cases that are divided (unevenly) into about 10 test plans. These test plans excercise different functional aspects of an XSLT stylesheet processor. These test cases are taken from a particular contribution to the OASIS XSLT/XPath Conformance Technical Committe by Carmelo Montanez-Rivera of the NIST Standards and Conformance Testing Group.
More information about the origin of these tests can be found at the NIST site above, as well as on the members' intermediate work page and the mailing list archive of the OASIS committee.
This demo is currently run against version 2.0.1 of the Apache Xalan-Java stylesheet processor. The only "failures" appear to arise from discrepancies regarding whitespace in the output of the XSLT concat() function. However, there is a phony "TestsThatFail" plan with one intentionally flawed test case that demonstrates a more serious failure.
